FIRST half goals by Ollie Palmer and Shaun Pearson kept the Mariners' fantastic run going and, with Barnet and Bristol Rovers only drawing on their travels, moved the Mariners to second in the Vanarama Conference table - and to within a point of leaders Barnet.
Palmer had fired Town ahead on 11 minutes after some good work on the right from the fit again Jack Mackreth, with the Mansfield loanee get the touch to divert the ball past a helpless Henly in the Welling goal.
And with the home side easing their way back into the game, up popped Shaun Pearson to head home from a corner to double Town's advantage. The goal had come at the perfect time with the half time break looming.
The Mariners were rarely threatened after the break and an efficient display made sure of another vital three points.
Jack Mackreth and Scott Brown were both drafted back into Paul Hurst's starting line-up.
The duo replaced Christian Jolley and Craig Clay, who both dropped to the bench where they were joined by new signing Jordan Chapell.
There was no place in the 16 man squad for striker Ross Hannah.
