DESPITE a good 2014-15 season which resulted in the Mariners securing a third consecutive play off position and an appearance in the play off final at Wembley, the club still made losses of over £78,000 up to year ending 31st May 2015.
Income continues to fall short of expenditure and whilst the play off final provided a timely boost to the company's finances overall matchday and related income shows a decrease from the previous year. The income generated has been used to maintain the playing budget at similar levels to the previous years.
The company's trading continues to show a substantial loss which is likely to remain the case for future years as Blundell Park falls well short of modern day stadia which enables additional income streams to help balance the books.
