THE club are saddened to hear of the passing former employee Pete Lea.
Pete, who supported the club all his life, worked in the club's youth department for a number of years and played a big part in the success of Neil Woods' side. The youngsters won the Midland's Floodlit Cup and the League Cup at QPR under the guidance of the now Walsall Youth Coach.
Speaking of Pete, Neil said: "Obviously my thoughts and feelings go out to Pete's family.
"Pete was a local born and bred Grimsby Town fan and was Grimsby Town through and through. I think the work and time that he spent, not only at Grimsby Town, but in local Grimsby football, was phenomenal."
"He shouldn't be forgotten because he was a gentleman of the football world," he added.
