Reaction - Paul Hurst & Macca

24 October 2015

Paul Hurst admitted that Harrogate had made it tough for his side but he had felt confident that the Mariners would score goals.

“We had four or five another chances, but we fell behind to a fantastic goal from the lad Daniels.

“It was important we got a goal back before the break because that goal gave them a bit of belief and confidence, but thankfully we got back level and went on from there.

“I just felt that we were always going to score goals today. I kind have had that confidence from watching the first two minutes of the game.”

And John McDermott was delighted with the reception he received from the Town fans and says it was  a good game to watch.

He said: “I thought it was a good game, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

“I thought the goal settled us down and we scared them a bit.

“I though Grimsby were decent to be fair.

“I got a good reception off the fans and it is a nice feeling.

“If we're going to go out in the cup, I'm pleased it was Grimsby.” Macca added. .
