STAFFORDSHIRE referee Simon Bennett will be in charge for The Mariners' trip to Harrogate Town in the FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round on Saturday.
The experienced official's last taste of the world's oldest cup competition came when he was assistant referee for Arsenal's 4-0 win over Aston Villa in the Final last season, and so he will now find himself going from Wembley to Wetherby Road for this weekend's fixture.
He has taken charge of seven games in the National League so far this season and has handed out 20 yellow cards and two reds in that time, whilst this was 56 yellows and nine reds last campaign.
LAST TIME OUT
Bennett was last in charge of Town for the 1-1 derby draw with Lincoln City at Sincil Bank earlier in the season, where he controversially sent off defender Josh Gowling for an off the ball incident with the Imps Matt Rhead and gave the hosts a penalty, which Rhead scored.
Town fought back with ten men afterwards and it was a cracking goal from Omar Bogle that saw both teams share the spoils on 29 August.
The only other time he has refereed Town was in the goalless draw with Bristol Rovers on the opening day of last season.
