TWO of the Grimsby Town Futsal boys have been called into the England Futsal U19s team.
Liam Hulse (left) and Jack Boswell (right) will head to a training camp at St George's Park next week.
The pair have been involved with The FA Centre of Excellence over the past 12 months, after being scouted by the FA playing for The Mariners in the Football League Trust Futsal Scholarship. The FA have recently formed an England National U19 and U23 sides, showing how highly The FA value Futsal. Jack and Liam represented the North of England, St.Georges Park in May in front of England Manager Peter Sturgess.
Mark Westerby, who is one of their coaches, is delighted with the boy's call up. He said: "Both Jack and Liam have played very well for the Mariners in their first year and have progressed well. The FA setting up these youth teams is a fantastic idea and gives young players the opportunity to pitch them selves against the best players in the country, but gives a clear pathway to the senior side. They've both worked extremely hard and deserve this opportunity."
Liam Hulse is also set to make his debut for Hull Futsal Club this Sunday in the newly reformed National Futsal League.
