AFTER last night's fantastic 3-1 victory away at Woking, the Mariners remain well equipped for our final home league game of the season against Chester.
Nathan Arnold has been Grimsby's noticeable absentee recently, having missed the previous two fixtures due to injury. Manager Paul Hurst was asked about his winger's fitness and said "we will see with Nath, it'll be nice to get him involved in the side, whether that's from the start or coming off the bench".
Another concern was Richard Tait, who took a blow to the head, leading to him finishing the game patched up. However, the manager wasn't concerned with the condition of his full-back, stating that "it just looks like a cut on his forehead".
Josh Gowling will require monitoring over the next couple of days, as the centre back felt pain his groin in the first half. Despite continuing throughout the game until the final whistle, the injury will be checked before Saturday.
Regarding further injuries, Paul Hurst believes that his squad came through unscathed. "I think it's just some tired legs" the Manager said. "it's understandable because of the effort we've put in over the past few days added to the travelling".
We will have further updates following the Manager's pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon. You will be able to catch the full interview on Mariners Player.
