WE are proud to announce that the Grimsby Town matchday programme The Mariner has scooped the National League Programme of the Year Award.
The prestigious award, by Programme Monthly, is just reward for all the effort and hard work put in by our programme editor Jack Johnson. He said: "I was delighted to hear that The Mariner has been named the top programme in The National League for the 2015/16.
"Every year we try to introduce new ideas and features, so it's great when you receive praise by people within the industry. It proves we must be doing something right.
"This year the programme has had contributions from over 30 writers, from supporters in their late teens to early nineties. Without their enthusiasm, dedication and passion for the club, The Mariner wouldn't be what it is today," Jack added.
The runners up were Gateshead and Tranmere Rovers jointly.
