JOSH Gowling returns for The Mariners following a one match suspension as a result of his dismissal vs. Morecambe. We travel to Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday for our first EFL away fixture, looking to build on our positive start to the season.
Despite returning to training this week, the visit to Wycombe will come too soon for captain, Craig Disley. At his pre-match press conference, manager Paul Hurst said "we're looking okay, I think the game will come a little too soon for Craig. He's been running and getting his body going but I think he's just found it a little bit more difficult than he imagined".
Midfielder, Sean McAllister picked up a knock during the 1-0 loss to Derby County in the EFL Cup however, manager Hurst does not see a cause for concern. "He seems okay, we haven't done too much today but he seems happy. We will assess him tomorrow when we train."
Zak Mills, who is yet to make his competitive debut for the club is close to a return following an injury picked up pre-season. Zak has returned to training at Cheapside with his team mates but has been described as taking things a little cautious and perhaps showing a little fear that he doesn't want to damage it any further. "I know he's eager to get back involved," mentioned Hurst, "fingers crossed he will be fine, he will train with us tomorrow, travel with us and do some more work with us on Saturday."
You can catch the full pre-match press conference over on Mariners PlayerHD later this afternoon.
Tickets for the game can be purchased on the day.
