BOSS Marcus Bignot is now aiming to take his squad further and to evolve after the club's final game of 2016 ended in a goalless draw against Blackpool at Blundell Park.
A game of few chances saw both teams share the spoils on New Years Eve, and Bignot is pleased with the organisation that his side have shown over his short time at the helm but admits that he will be looking to add new faces to take his team to the next level.
Speaking after the game, he said: ''Listen, I'm happy with things overall in terms of where we are and where we're going.
''I think there can be a lot of psoitives to be taken with two clean sheets ina row and two games unbeaten now.
''If you look at this run of games, we've come a long way in terms of organisation and in where we wanna get to.
''I'm sure everyone can see how we want to evolve and with the window opening now, I'm certain that we'll be busy hopefully trying to bring players in to help us evolve because certainly there's a base and a structure there to build upon.
''For me, possession starts from the back and defending starts at the front so it would be easy to give plaudits to the defenders and the keeper for clean sheets.
'But certainly for me, clean sheets start at the front and likewise, you're talking about limited chances up top but that starts from the back with me because we can still play a lot more and by playing a lot more, you can get into a lot more goalscoring opportunities and hopefully create more chances.
''I've said all along that they've given us everything and what we're missing, we haven't got it in the group or sorry, I said all along that there would be one or two that would be like new signings and someone today I felt was like a new signing was Dom Vose.''
