YORKSHIRE official Darren England will be the referee for the New Year's Eve clash with Blackpool.
Mr England was promoted to the EFL in 2015 after two seasons at Conference level, where he and Town crossed paths on a number of occasions.
The last of those was the 2-0 victory at Alfreton Town in April 2015, where over 2,000 Mariners crammed into the away end at the Impact Stadium to see Josh Gowling and Lenell John-Lewis seal an end of season win.
Prior to becoming a referee full-time, England ran the line in the 2015 FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium when Arsenal beat Aston Villa to lift the trophy.
So far this campaign, he has handed out 60 yellow cards and five red cards in 21 games.
He will be assisted by Paul Thompson, David Benton and fourth official Christopher Ward.
