Dear Very Special Fans,
The last 12 months has offered up the highs and lows that have traditionally made football so emotionally compelling.
Supporting Town has never been easy, just taking the last 10 years, we've achieved the play-offs four times, been in two cup finals, during which time we've visited the new Wembley three times and the Millennium Stadium at Cardiff. It’s unbelievable, to think we've been so close, but not yet clinched the success football craves.
We've seen a phenomenal season ticket take up, terrific club shop sales and unbelievable away attendances. All of this followed the amazing financial backing of the fans in ‘Operation Promotion’, which has induced a galvanic reaction, bringing the club and fans even closer together.
With yet another home sell out, the final kick of the year saw a sensational and deserved win against local rivals Lincoln, which ended a good year in football generally.
Paul Hurst, his backing staff and the players with their terrific endeavours, has again put us in the running for that elusive top spot and we're all living in hope of that football fortune with a promotion coming our way, that which we so cruelly missed out on at the end of last season.
Thank you for your Incredible backing, and with a team that shows the same passion, we're in with a great shout.
Wishing the staff, management, players, the Mariners Trust and all who support the football club a terrific, successful and Happy New Year ahead.
On Behalf of the Board of Directors.
