REFEREE Steve Rushton will take charge of Town's trip to Gateshead this coming Saturday.
The Staffordshire official began his career as a professional official in the 2007/08 season, where he refereed half a dozen games in the National League. He spent just two seasons at that level before being promoted to Football League status in 2008/09.
After five seasons at that level, he returned to the National League last season and gave out 55 yellow cards and five reds cards over the 17 games that he played.
So far this campaign, he has given out 43 yellow cards and four reds, with three of those sendings off coming in Forest Green's 3-0 victory over Altrincham in November.
Rushton will be assisted by Martin Woods and Michael Crusham for the fixture, while Simon Wales has been appointed Fourth Official.
LAST TIME OUT
Rushton last took charge of the Mariners in the game against Forest Green Rovers at Blundell Park in October, where he handed out four yellow cards.
In a game of few chances that day, Jon-Paul Pittman gave Town the lead just after the half hour mark before Jon Parkin responded three minutes later to ensure both teams shared the spoils.
