OFFICIAL Wayne Barratt will take charge of Town's trip to Welling United on Saturday afternoon.
Born in Worcestershire, he has refereed at National League level since the 2007/08 season, first taking charge of the 1-1 draw between Stevenage and Woking in October 2007 and is also a regular part of the officiating team at Football League level.
He was involved in an interesting incident in October when a fan had to step in as Fourth Official after Barratt had to replace the injured James Adcock as the man in the middle during the game between Portsmouth and Newport County.
So far this season, he has handed out 27 yellow cards in 11 games but is yet to send a player off, whilst he gave out 43 yellow cards and five reds in 17 games last campaign.
Barratt be assisted by Daniel Cook and James Whittaker Jr. for the game, with George Warren acting as Fourth Official.
LAST TIME OUT
The official last took charge of a Town game in November when the Mariners beat Eastleigh 1-0 at the Silverlake Stadium. Padraig Amond's 15thgoal of the season mid-way through the first half gave Paul Hurst's side a valuable three points that day in what was a tight encounter.
Barratt has also taken charge of Town on a number of other occasions over the years, including the infamous 5-0 defeat at Braintree Town in August 2011, as well as 3-0 victory over Gateshead at Blundell Park in September 2012.
