TOWN boss Paul Hurst is delighted to finally get his man, after Kayden Jackson joined the club on a season long loan from Championship side Barnsley. Hurst said: "He's one that I've wanted for a long time and that patience that I spoke about has finally paid off.
"I felt that Barnsley had a lot of strikers and that someone would become available. I was hoping that Kayden would be the one and it proved to be the case.
"I spoke about bringing someone in with pace and he's got that in abundance. I think that compliments us very well and I'm looking forward to seeing him put that Grimsby shirt on.
"As soon as I knew it was a possibility we were on it very quickly and we did – maybe a day longer than we would have thought initially.Â
"I'm delighted to get him on board because he was someone that I was interested in when he was at Wrexham."
