Grimsby Town Football Club is delighted to announce the introduction of a Supporter Liaison Committee. This committee will act on behalf of home and away supporters, ensuring that the needs of all supporters is heard at a senior level in order to help promote a family environment here at Blundell Park. The Committee will meet monthly as a group to talk through all ideas and issues raised by supporters and subsequently report their findings to the senior management team at GTFC. The senior management team at GTFC will try to resolve all issues instantly, although they might have to report back to the committee at a later stage after consultation with the club’s Directors.
The Supporters Liaison Committee has the following individuals tasked with making a difference for our supporters:
Disability Liaison Officer – Lee Spall Disability@gtfc.co.uk
Lee Spall is a disability season ticket holder at GTFC. Lee is directly responsible for club interaction with home and away disabled supporters and their families to ensure that all visitors to Blundell Park do not have their disability affect their enjoyment of the game. This also includes reviewing the facilities that we provide and coming up with recommendations and ideas for the future.
Supporters Liaison Officer – Kristine Green Supporters@gtfc.co.uk
Kristine is on the Mariners Trust Board (Supporters Group) she too is a season ticket holder in the Pontoon Stand and voice of the Mariners Trust members and supporters for all things football related. Kristine has been tasked with improving communication and awareness between supporters and their Club, especially with regards to legislative requirements, together with promoting modern techniques for showing their support. Grimsby Town Football Club is a family based supported club and already takes the needs of families seriously, however any and all ideas for better interaction or improvement of the facilities can be tasked by Kristine.
Charity Liaison Officer – Susan Mullen Charity@gtfc.co.uk
Susan Mullen and her family have a hospitality box in the Young’s Stand with her Husband Lee Mullen who also sits on the Board of Directors at GTFC. Susan does substantial work in the community both on a charity basis and for those in need.
Grimsby Town Football Club on a daily basis receives charity requests for donations, bucket collections and player appearances. Obviously as a club we would love to support all good causes, however the financial impact on the club means that at times we do have to be selective on whom and to what extent we can offer support. The Charity Liaison Officer will now manage all requests on behalf of the club and make recommendations to the Supporters Liaison Committee with regards to organisations requiring our support. This role will also deal with all supporters in distress or need due to health implications that affects their ability to watch their club. Susan Mullen has a proven track record for compassion towards those in need and is driven towards improving life where possible for all supporters of GTFC.
