WE are pleased to announced that former Scunthorpe United defender Andrew Boyce has joined the club on a 2-year deal.
Boyce will be a familiar face to Town fans after the 26-year-old played 19 games for Town across two loan spells in 2014.
He began his career as a trainee at the age of 16 with Doncaster Rovers Academy and was offered his first pro contract with Rovers in the summer of 2008.
After spells at Gainsborough Trinity and Lincoln City, the big defender signed for Scunthorpe United on a permanent deal in 2014.
After a successful season where he helped United gain promotion to League One, he was allowed out on loan to Blundell Park for the remainder.
He went onto make 13 appearances for Town - including the two play-off semi final games against Gateshead.
Boyce returned on loan with the Mariners the following season but was recalled by the Iron after an injury crisis at Glanford Park.
The big defender spent last season out on loan at League Two sides Hartlepool United and Notts County respectively.
