WE are pleased to announce that Aldershot Town winger Rhys Browne has joined the club for an undisclosed fee.
Rhys is a quick and tricky winger who began his career as a scholar at Norwich City. He was an unused substitute for the Canaries in their aggregate victory over Chelsea in the 2013 FA Youth Cup Final, before joining Charlton Athletic’s Development Squad.
He was released from The Valley in the summer of 2015 and made his international debut before his club first-team debut, playing in both legs of Antigua and Barbuda’s World Cup qualifying win against Saint Lucia.
That senior debut came after impressing in a pre-season trial with Aldershot Town, which earned him a one-year contract at the EBB Stadium.
Rhys joins the Mariners on a two-year deal.
