Euro 2016 - Richard Tait's View

8 June 2016

We ask Scot Richard Tait a load of questions about England and the Euros..

Who do you fancy for the Euros in France (winning it)?

Taity: France could always have a chance being in the home country, but I don't think you can look past Germany .

Who might be a surprise package?

Taity: Sweden could be a surprise package with big Ibra.

Which players do you think are going to shine in France?

Taity: Paul Pogba for sure will make a stamp on the tournament but with England having so many young lads in there team I hope Rashford,Kane and Vardy can bang some goals in .

How do you think the British sides will do?

Taity: I hope they all do well , be great for the Irish teams to get out the group. Wales could be the surprise team out of the British ones but hopefully England can make it their tournament, but either way the experience of it for the young lads will hold them in good stead.

How far do you think England can go?

Taity: A great tourney for England would be getting to the semis.

Which of the young England players do you think will shine in France?

Taity: Given the opportunity Rashford will always have a goal in him.

Do you think Roy was right to take Daniel Sturridge and Wayne Rooney?

Taity: Rooney for sure has to be included in the squad he's great for the young players, but Sturbridge hasn't done enough for me this year.

Who should be in there who isn't (England squad)?

Taity: I'd have given Noble a shout he's had a great year , taking people like Delph, Sturridge , Henderson purely because they play for one of the big boys is annoying.

Who are the England players for the future?

Taity: Looking at England now they've got loads of young lads who could be the future of the team , I think under the guidance of a few older pros like Rooney, Cahill, Hart - they could kick on and win a tournament soon.

Will you be nailed to the Euros or has your missus got other plans?

Taity: I'll be watching the Euros but won't be totally planted in front of the TV as the mighty Scots aren't involved. I think the lads thought they'd give the other countries a chance to win it.
