Irish Frontman Joins Town

1 March 2016

WE are pleased to announce that Oxford United striker Pat Hoban has joined the club on a loan deal until the end of the season.

The 24-year old, who has recently spent time on loan at League 2 side Stevenage Borough,  was top scorer in the Irish Premier League for two seasons before joining Oxford from Dundalk.

Hoban started out at Irish non-league sides Lakeside Celtic and Ballinasloe Town, before he joined Mervue United, who he helped to win promotion from the A Championship to the League of Ireland.

He signed for Oxford in  2014, having turned down the chance to play on trial at Scottish Premier League club Kilmarnock.

Check out his goals for Dundalk FC.
