MERSEYSIDE official Robert Jones will be the man in the middle at Wembley Stadium on Sunday afternoon when Town meet Forest Green Rovers in the Vanarama National League Promotion Final.
Currently in his second season at this level, Jones will be rewarded for his performances over the course of the campaign by being given the chance to officiate the showpiece fixture, which means that he will take charge of a Mariners game for the fourth time this year.
He handed out 63 yellow cards and one red card in 21 games during the regular season, with Eastleigh's Ben Strevens being the only player to be given his marching orders.
Jones will be assisted by Aaron Jackson and Natalie Aspinall, with Ollie Yates acting as Fourth Official.
LAST TIME OUT
The last game Jones took charge of was the penultimate home game of the regular season at the end of April, when play-off semi finalists Braintree Town came away from Blundell Park with a 1-0 victory.
He also took charge of the goalless draws at home to Boreham Wood in February and away at Wrexham in September.
