Minute's Silence For Paul Futcher At Crawley

25 November 2016

GRIMSBY Town fans will get a chance to pay their respects to former player Paul Futcher ahead of Saturday's Sky Bet League Two game at Crawley. The West Sussex club have agreed to do a minutes silence ahead of kick off for Paul, who sadly passed away recently.

There will also be a minute's applause ahead the Portsmouth game for the Grimsby Town Legend.

Paul made well over 100 appearances for the Mariners between 1991 and 1994 having been signed by Alan Buckley from Halifax Town for £10,000 at the age of 34.

Originally brought in as a replacement for Andy Tillson, he went on to become a firm favourite with the fans, winning the Supporters' Player of the Year award twice.
