Moore Praise For Player's Efforts

5 November 2016

CARETAKER boss Dave Moore thinks that his time as caretaker boss is up, but he was full of praise for his side after their narrow defeat at Bolton Wanderers today.

He said: "Fantastic. Second week on the run. You can't ask any more of the lads.

"Certainly Bolton started off the better, hit the post after a few minutes, then the goal gives them a boost. The last twenty minutes of the first half and the whole of the second half, I thought we played some terrific stuff. I really couldn't have asked for any more.

“We played with spirit, pace and moved the ball well. I really, really couldn't have asked any more.

“We had two great efforts.

“I thought Scott (Vernon) might have done better with his header, and their keeper has pulled off a fantastic save."

"I'm a bit disappointed, for the lads really. Disappointed that you put all that effort in and all that good play, and you don't quite get anything out of it."

Asked if that was it for Dave Moore's caretaker stint, he said: "I think so. I spoke to the chairman on Friday and he said that he thought there would be something in place early next week.

"He didn't mention any names, which suits me fine.

"I think that should be it from me but I will take it day by day."
