TOWN frontman Ashley Chambers has been taken to hospital but it is not thought that he has broken any bones. Chambers was carried off on a stretcher after just seven minutes of today's clash with Hartlepool, but Town boss Paul Hurst says that he thinks that the player has a 'bad cut' on his leg, rather than anything more serious.
Speaking at the post match press conference, the gaffer said: "I think it is just a bad cut, rather than a broken leg or anything like that. Fingers crossed that is the case."
But Hurst says that he doesn't have any issues with the tackle on the Town frontman. He added: "It looked like two players with their eye on the ball. It looked nasty but I'm not sure how much intent there is. 'If that happened the other way around, I certainly wouldn't expect my left back to be sent off so again, no qualms on that, I just hope that Ashley can be back as soon as possible.''
Ashley Chambers has since confirmed that he is going into theatre to have some stitches in the wound.
