Chris Doig took today's post match press conference and was asked about the speculation linking Paul Hurst to the vacant manager's job at Shrewsbury Town.
He said: "I find out from social media and websites the same as everybody else.
"We've had no communication from anyone at the club really to say anything, so I'm pretty much in the same boat as everyone else.
"There's been nothing to talk about, we don't know anything.
"I'm pretty much in the dark and I'm finding out what's apparently going on from media outlets."
Asked if he had spoken to Paul Hurst about the Shrewsbury rumours, he added: "No, there's been nothing to talk about, we don't know anything. I'm pretty much in the dark, and like I said, I'm finding out from social media and media outlets."
On today's disappointing result against the Robins, Doig said: "Disappointing obviously.
"I don't like to lose but I think it was the manner of the performance that was disappointing.
"It was a very lacklustre first half, struggled to get going. Having said that, we should have been ahead before they scored, with Omar's chance.
"Then we concede, from their point of view a good set-piece, from ours it is very poor.
"We just struggled to get going, get any rhythm in the game."
