Eltringham In Charge For Mansfield Clash - Referee Watch

21 September 2016

Geoff Eltringham will be the latest man of the middle at Mansfield Town.

COUNTY Durham's Geoff Eltringham will be the referee for Saturday afternoon's clash with Mansfield Town at Field Mill.

Eltringham was promoted to EFL level in 2009 and last took charge of a Town game in the 4-0 defeat to Port Vale back in September 2009.

After handing out 93 yellow cards and eight reds in 37 games across all three divisions of the Football League last season, he has handed out 23 yellows and one red in eight games so far this term.

His last three games have been Championship fixtures, with the last of those being Brighton's 1-0 win at Burton Albion last weekend, in which he gave a late penalty that allowed Seagulls striker Tomer Hemed to slot home and claim all three points for the away side.

Eltringham will be assisted by Akil Howson and Billy Smallwood, with David Benton acting as Fourth Official.
