Andy Haines will be the man in the middle for Russell Slade's first game at the helm.
SUNDERLAND referee Andy Haines will officiate the Good Friday clash with Cambridge United at Blundell Park.
An experienced official at this level having been in the EFL since 2007, Haines took charge of the 1-0 defeat to Portsmouth in December.
He has handed out 108 yellow cards and five reds in 35 games so far this campaign.
Off the pitch, Haines is a project manager for EDF Energy and has an interesting story to tell about how he began in the professional game.
He once faced a 4,000-plus mile dash from a summer holiday in the Dominican Republic in order to get back for an interview as a Conference official back in 2005, and he has been involved in the game ever since.
Mr Haines will be assisted by Wayne Grunnill, Stephen Wade and fourth official Paul Thompson for returning managerial team Russell Slade and assistant Paul Wilkinson's first game back at the club.
