Town boss Russell Slade is set to make changes for Tuesday's Checkatrade Trophy tie against Doncaster Rovers at Blundell Park.
Scott Vernon, who has been sidelined with an injury picked up in the warm up ahead of the Coventry game, will be included in the 18 man squad to face Rovers.
Sam Jones, who is eligible to play in this competition, is struggling withTendonitis on his knee and may not be risked by the Town boss. Jones will then complete his three game ban against Crewe on Saturday.
Danny Collins is availale despite his sending off against Wycombe on Saturday. His one match ban will be served against Crewe.
Speaking to iFollow Mariners, Russell Slade said: "It's the second day of recovery and I am still to see where we are with the team at this moment in time. What I can say is that there will be a few changes for the game.
"Scott [Vernon] is making good progress and he should be in the 18 man squad for Tuesday.
"There's a possibility with Sam - we'll see how he is. He didn't train too much last week with Tendonitis on the knee. Whether he will be available we will have to wait and see.”
And what does the Town boss make of the competition.
"As I've said before, in the early rounds, it's probably a game that you don't want, but actually it's a good competition. As you go on there are financial rewards for clubs, then, at the end of the day, if you are successful, you get to play at Wembley."
Tickets for the tie are now on sale, priced at just £10 – Adults and £5 for Concessions.
