Johnson In Charge At Crewe

10 February 2017

SOMERSET official Kevin Johnson will take charge of the trip to Crewe Alexandra on Saturday afternoon.

Johnson spent six years officiating at non-league level before being promoted to the EFL for the 2013/14 campaign.

He has handed out 62 yellow cards and two reds so far this season, and had already taken charge of Town on one occasion; the 3-2 defeat to Colchester United back in August.

The official's National League days also saw him take charge of several Town games, most notably the 3-1 Play-Off Semi-Final Second Leg defeat to Gateshead in 2014.

The Mariners were reduced to nine men during that game when Scott Neilson was controversially sent off before Sam Hatton was dismissed in extra time to end the game as a contest.

Johnson will be assisted by Joe Clark and David Benton, with Matthew Jones acting as Fourth Official.
