GRIMSBY Town Football Club can confirm that we have reached an agreement with Wigan Athletic for the transfer of Omar Bogle for an undisclosed fee.
The 23-year-old striker, who is the current Sky Bet League Two top goalscorer with 19 goals in 27 league appearances, has joined the Latics who currently sit 22nd in the Sky Bet Championship.
Fan favourite Bogle joined the Mariners in the summer of 2015, where he enjoyed a successful first season with the club.
Most notably, Bogle scored the winner in the 2-1 aggregate victory against Braintree Town in the National League Play off Semi-final, before going on to score twice in two minutes at Wembley in the Promotion Final. His form continued into the current season, scoring 16 goals in Sky Bet League Two before the turn of the year.
We would like to thank Omar for all his efforts in his time at the club and wish him the best of luck for his future career.
The move is subject to EFL approval.
