On the injury front, the manager confirmed that midfielder, James Berrett is set to miss Saturday's fixture. "James Berrett will be out for the weekend and a couple of weeks after that", said Bignot. "He's been for a scan and he will be out for a few weeks longer than expected".
With 4 wins in the last 6 games, the manager understands the importance of extending this form on Saturday. When asked about this weekend's opponents, the manager simply responded "i'm more excited about seeing if we can repeat and follow on the performance and result of Saturday!" With the play-offs in touching distance, Marcus Bignot believes that consistency is key towards the end of the season. "These last six or seven games I think we have hit promotion form in terms of points return. What we need to do now is get consistency in our performances."
With just over 5 days remaining in the January Transfer Window, the manager is hopeful of adding a few more faces to his squad. "I'm hopeful of getting a couple more in", mentioned Bignot. "It'll be in areas where we feel we haven't got, we are just short on that physicality and that balance in terms of left footers". Despite his attempts to recruit more players, the manager believes the window has already been a success. "If we don't, we don't (bring more players in), but I think supporters and the club have got to be delighted with the way the window has gone so far".
