Grimsby Town Football Club will exert some extra control measures on an event day to ensure that every visitor has a safe and enjoyable time.

24 July 2017

Nationally the Terrorist Threat is currently set at severe, that does not mean that we are all at risk or that we should be panicking about attending public events. However this does mean that organisations such as Grimsby Town Football Club will exert some extra control measures on an event day to ensure that every visitor has a safe and enjoyable time.

We are respectfully asking that supporters arrive at the turnstiles with plenty of time spare as trained stewards will carry out searching procedures prior to supporters entering the stadium. Any supporter with a bag will be asked to open it and potentially remove items so that all contents are visible and can be seen by safety stewards. Unfortunately as per the EFL Ground Regulations, if you refuse to be searched you will have entry refused.

In addition to these measures exit gates will remain closed for the full duration of the match, although safety stewards will cover these at all times so that supporters can leave at any time that they wish. If you leave the stadium during the match, you will not be allowed back in unless there are extenuating circumstances again as per EFL Ground Regulations.

We would like to refer all supporters to the latest Government ACT video (Action Counters Terrorism) below.
