Assistant manager, Paul Wilkinson gives us an update for tonight's team to face Tavistock in our final fixture down in Devon.

Grimsby Town assistant manager Paul Wilkinson says tonight's game against Tavistock AFC is an important match as the Mariners will look to extend their unbeaten pre-season run.

Speaking exclusively on iFollow, after Town's training session at Bideford AFC this morning, he said: “It's an important game for us. We're unbeaten in pre-season at the minute, and we'd like to maintain that run.

“The full squad will be involved. Obviously there'll be different minutes for different people, because it's important that everybody gets the same sort of minutes at this stage of pre-season.

“Everybody's fully fit and ready to go. It's an important time for the boys to get some minutes on the pitch.

“We've just been doing a bit of team preparation for tonight's game. It's another good game for us and the lads are looking forward to it.

And the assistant boss had a message for the Town fans who will be at the game tonight.

“Come and enjoy the game. The boys are here to do a job – they've been totally professional over the three or four days we've been here and they're all looking forward to tonight's game,” he said.
