Harry Clifton says that his time out on loan with Grantham Town has made him into a better player and he's looking to coming back to Town and showing the Town management what he can do.
The young midfielder, who spent almost all of last season on loan with the Gingerbreads, was handed a new one-year deal by Russell Slade at the end of last season.
"In hindsight it was a good move (Grantham Town)," he said. It was a successful season and I played a lot of games, against players that have played in the Football League."
And the youngster says that his time there has helped him develop into a better player. He said: " I think it has, massively, not just in terms of football ability but to get to know yourself, know your game. You had to think a lot faster playing against men and you had to be a lot more physical."
He's now looking forward to starting to get down to business when pre season training begins next week. He added: "I've been looking forward to it for a few weeks now. I've been going to the gym and that and I'm in that mindset and I can't wait to get started. I wouldn't say that anyone enjoys the running, but it's not one that I really fear because I seem to do well in the running."
