We are delighted to announce that Young’s Seafood Limited, the UK’s number one fish and seafood business, will continue to sponsor the club for the 2017/18 season.
Young's have now supported the club for over a decade, with the Mariners proudly sporting the Young’s Seafood logo on the shirts since 2004.
Bill Showalter, Chief Executive of Young’s Seafood Limited, commented: “I’m delighted that we will be offering our continued support for Grimsby Town Football Club for another year. We’ve sponsored the team for over a decade now and the partnership is important to us.
“We’re committed to playing a positive role in the communities in which we are based. Our relationship with the club is a key part of this commitment. We look forward to seeing the Young’s logo on the shirts and wish all involved at the club the best of luck for next season.”
And Town director, John Fenty, added: Grimsby Town Football Club are thrilled that Young’s Seafood Limited will continue to support the Mariners for the 2017/18 season. It will be the fourteenth season that the company has been the club’s Official Sponsor and we’re honoured to have such a well-known brand give their support to the club and the wider community.”
The announcement follows the recent visit of 22 Grimsby Town players to our Humberstone Road fish fingers factory. While there, the stars were treated to an access-all-areas tour to see how the country’s classic teatime-treat is created.
Last summer saw the Upper and Lower Stands at Blundell Park renamed the Young’s Upper Stand and Young’s Lower Stand. This followed GTFC’s return to the Football League after beating Forest Green Rovers 3-1 at Wembley.
