DANNY Collins will be available for selection tomorrow afternoon after serving a one match suspension following the red card he received during our 1-1 home draw to Crawley Town.
With regards injuries, Scott Vernon will be absent due to his head injury from last weekend and he will be joined on the sidelines by Ben Davies. "We've got a couple of injuries." Said Bignot during his pre-match press conference. "Ben Davies missed the Accrington game and will miss tomorrow's game as well. It's a reoccurring of his calf injury which played up earlier in the season". Scott Vernon is obliged to sit out of the next two weeks due to the head injury he sustained. "Obviously, Scott Vernon had to come off on Saturday due to concussion, so there is definitely Scott and Ben Davies out.
Marcus Bignot also remains cautious with the fitness of Akwasi Asante. The striker scored his first goal for the Mariners last weekend in our 1-1 draw away at Accrington Stanley, but is classed as '50-50' for tomorrow. "Akwasi, there is a question mark over whether he will be ready or not", confirmed Bignot. "He picked up an injury mid-week so we will leave that as late as possible to give him an opportunity to play, it's 50-50 at the moment."
When questioned about his strike force if both Vernon and Asante were to miss the game, the manager remained optimistic. "We've got centre forwards in the building with Calum and Adi Yussuf, as well as Sam Jones who has done really well up there. So we still have options, but obviously it limits us at the moment".
