FREEVIEW: Youths Cap A Good Week

27 March 2017

OUR Youths came away from Rotherham United with all three points at the weekend after a battling performance from Neil Woods' charges.

A 30 yard great strike from Miles Lawman and a Mikey Davis penalty capped a good week for our Youth boys. The Under 18s had acquitted themselves well at Hartlepool in a Central League Reserves fixture during the week and were only denied a victory at Victoria Park by an extra time equaliser.

Speaking of the week's achievements, coach Neil Woods said: "Very pleased with the performance and their attitude. They worked extremely hard and we've had a good good week. I was pleased with the draw that they got at Hartlepool, and they backed it up on the Saturday with a very organised performance.

"We played some good football at times, defended very well. It's nice to see that they are getting some reward for the work and he effort that they are putting in."
