GRIMSBY Town fans have been praised for their magnificent support at Leyton Orient on Saturday.
Over a thousand of them made the journey to the capital and they could be heard for the whole ninety minutes of the game.
Janice Treacher, who is a member of the Leyton Orient Trust, said: "Your fans were an absolute credit to your club today.
"Many donated in our buckets, made really kind and considerate remarks and then sang their hearts out and jumped up and down nonstop for ninety minutes during the match. They have more energy than a tanker full of Red Bull."
And John Tondeur, who mentioned the Town fans several times during commentary on Saturday, said: " Gtfc fans away from home are always amazing but on Saturday they took it to a higher level.
"The fans never stopped singing from minute one to ninety. And to be fair the game at times was not too inspiring! We were on the other side of the ground but the only thing we could hear was the sound of Mariners ' fans."
John's co-commentator at the Matchroom Stadium, Lloyd Griffith added: I was up in the gantry doing the commentary and at times it was hard to concentrate on the football because the town fans were providing the entertainment, singing non stop. Haven't seen non stop singing like that since Barnet with the inflatables."
