REFEREE WATCH: Boyeson Takes Charge On Saturday

15 March 2017

EAST Yorkshire referee Carl Boyeson will take charge of Saturday's Sky Bet League Two clash with Crawley at Blundell Park.

Mr Boyeson has refereed in 28 games so far this season, giving out 103 Yellow Cards and 4 Red Cards.

Although Mr Boyeson hasn't officiated a Town game in the last 12 years, he will be remembered by Town fans for a game back in 2005. He gave two penalties and sent Town's Tom Newey and Tony Crane off as the Mariners lost to Darlington 1-0.

And two years previously, another eventful game involving the Mariners saw Des Hamilton and Marcel Cas sent off in a cup tie at Doncaster Rovers, with Town exiting the competition at the first hurdle.

Watch that Doncaster League Cup game from 2003.
