GAVIN Gunning today returned to training after taking two weeks out following his concussion against Wycombe two weeks ago. Town boss Marcus Bignot will now decide whether to bring back the popular defender in place of the suspended Danny Collins at Accrington Stanley on Saturday. Speaking at today's press conference, the gaffer said: "He's back now. He's done the protocol, it's been a gradual build up.
"All being well he gets through tomorrow and he will be back in the squad. We brought Gavin in as a left-sided centre-half, and he's done a great job for us in the middle of the park prior to him getting injured. He would be an option. It would just be a question mark regards the physical side of it, in terms of that he's had two weeks complete rest. But he works hard away from the club, with the gym and his strength and conditioning. He looks after himself and physically he will be in the best shape that he possibly can be."
The Town boss also confirmed that he has two injury concerns going into the trip to The Wham Stadium but is keeping his cards close to his chest as to their identities.
Stanley will be without former Town midfielder Scott Brown who is suspended.
