MONDAY UPDATE: Gavin returned home on Saturday night after being checked over at hospital.
Town physio Dave Moore has spoken to the player this morning and he is doing fine. Â Â
Concussion Protocol dictates that Gavin must now have a week of complete rest and will not return to the club until next week. Â
He was taken to the Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital as a precaution, but he was feeling okay and talking normally before he left Blundell Park.Â
Town doctor Frank Howell, who looked after and assessed the player after he was stretchered off, is hopeful that he will be released from hospital tonight, once he has been checked over.
We will let you know if there are any further updates.Â
Gavin will now face two weeks on the sidelines as part of the Concussion Protocol.Â
MB: The referee apologised straightaway. I can't fault the players for stopping because their teammate, and a human being, was out cold
