SCOTT Vernon looks set to be out for at least two weeks after picking up a head injury during the 1-1 draw with Accrington Stanley this afternoon.
The Town frontman collided with the fencing at the Wham Stadium after a challenge from a Stanley player, and after a stoppage for some lengthy treatment, the player was able to leave the field under his own steam to be replaced by Akwasi Asante.
A disappointed Town boss Marcus Bignot spoke about the injury after the game. He said:"I didn't see the challenge, the touchline was a bit crowded.
"Hopefully Scott's going to be okay, but again that's going to be another concussion I believe, and that's going to be two weeks out at least.
"You can look at the fences, it is dangerous being so close to the touchline and they've split his head right open. That needs to be looked at, because it is dangerous."
