Former Town and Sheffield Wednesday star Terry Curran's son is hoping to follow in his father's footsteps after being signed by the Mariners.
Curran senior was an attacking midfielder, who will be mainly remembered by some of our older supporters from his time at Sheffield Wednesday. During his 13-year career Curran played for many clubs, including Doncaster Rovers, Southampton, Derby County, Nottingham Forest and Everton.
He signed for the Mariners during the twilight of his career and went on to make just a handful of appearances before retiring from playing in 1988.
Jock recently penned a scholarship deal with the club, and is a creative midfielder just like his dad. Jock's described by his coaches as a player who reads the game very well, and distributes the ball with quality.
Do you remember Terry?
