NEWCASTLE referee Ross Joyce will take charge of the Mariners' final Sky Bet League Two fixture of the season against Plymouth on Saturday.
Joyce was a regular during the Mariners' National League days before promoted to Football League level in 2015 at the age of just 29, making him the youngest referee in the EFL at the time.
He has officiated at Blundell Park this season, that being the Boxing Day fixture against Accrington Stanley. But Town fans will remember Mr Joyce from the National League Promotion Final defeat to Bristol Rovers at Wembley Stadium back in May 2015, where he somewhat controversially decided not to send off Rovers' keeper Will Puddy for handling outside of his area.
This season, in 43 games, he has shown 177 Yellow Cards and 12 Red Cards.
Ross will be assisted by James Bell and Glen Hart, the Fourth Official will be Ben Toner.
