Speaking after Tuesday's Player of the Year awards ceremony at The Beachcomber, he said: "All that planning behind the scenes has been going on for days now. We've talked about games and fixtures, we've had a meeting with the club's chief exec today, there's lots of things we have tried to resolve and there's lots of things we've tried to move forward.
"We've identified the types, we've got our prototype for that kind of position. Obviously you don't always get what you want, it depends on the market also. We're getting a list together, we will go through all of those players, we will watch all of those players, until we get our shortlist. I am talking to one or two agents with regards players for next season already."
The Town boss says that he will set down with his current players next Tuesday.
Speaking about Danny Andrew, the player who scooped most of the awards on Tuesday night, he said: "I haven't seen all of the season but he's been one of the most consistent players since I've been here. You don't get those awards unless you've had a really strong season. As I said to everybody who was in there tonight, he's set the example for the rest to follow. Hopefully he can produce that for next season. "
And Danny Andrew says that it was a big surprise for him to pick up so many awards. He said: "It's crazy. Especially after the last two seasons and I've been free from injuries. I'm really proud.
"The season's been really good. I think everyone's main aim was to stay in the league and we've managed to do better than that - pushing for the play offs at one point.
"Nothing has been spoken about. Get the season out of the way and I'm guessing the talks will get underway in the summer. After a night like tonight you can't say that you're not happy here. When you win awards like that, and the acknowledgement from the fans, it means a lot," he added.
