Northamptonshire referee, Dean Whitestone, will be the man in the middle for Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two clash at Exeter City.

He is one of the most experienced EFL officials, having been promoted from the National League in 2006, and beginning at non-league standard way back in 2003.

Interestingly, he works as a police officer in London when he isn't on the field and was on duty during the riots in that city back in 2011.

Mr Whitestone took charge of Town’s FA Cup replay at Shrewsbury Town back in December 2015, where the Mariners succumbed to a 90th minute Abu Ogogo goal and went crashing out of the competition.

So far this season, in 16 games, he has shown 41 Yellow Cards and 1 Red Card.

He will be assisted by Steven Plane and Simon Shaw. The Fourth Official will be Mark Derrien.
