Town boss Russell Slade reiterated that his side need to keep knocking on the door to create chances after the 1-0 defeat to Carlisle United at Blundell Park on Saturday afternoon.
Speaking after the game, he said: ''Yeah, it's difficult times at the minute because we're unable to get ourselves a goal which can change everything.
''I thought in terms of our performance we very good. We had nine shots, six on target and out of those, three really good chances to get in front and then it can be a different story.
''Second period I thought we started reasonably well again to be honest. There were two or three opportunities but we seemed to be on the front foot again.
''Then they get a goal from second phase, it's disappointing to concede that and we took our time to respond to that to be honest.
''We huffed and puffed but were a little bit flat after that, lacked a bit of consistency with what we were trying to do andwhat made us successful in the first half wasn't quite there in those last 20 minutes.''
On not scoring goals
''It's not necessarily a striker. It's sometimes its a defender or a set play where you get an opportunity, which we did today, to get a goal.
''Whoever it is really, they've got to back themselves and the important thing is we've got to keep knocking on the door.
''If you don't keep knocking, you're not gonna open the door and that's the point I'm making.
''We have to be relentless for 90 minutes, stay on the front foot, keep pushing and find opportunities and keep creating in order to get ourselves a goal.''
On DJ's display
''I felt DJ deserved his opportunity. He's been training well and put in a couple of good performances in the Checkatrade and in the reserves.
''He's been really patient and again he was a little bit unfortunate today because he had a great chance in the first period to get a goal on his debut.
''He's young, he's learning and we shouldn't put too much pressure on him at the minute but he's gonna be a player, that I have no doubt about, so I was pleased overall with his contribution.
''There were still things he could do better but with him and Dembele, those two are gonna be threats going forward.
On what needs to improve
''We've lost three games in twelve but we've drawn an awful lot of those so we're not a million miles away but we have to look at it positively and going forward we have to go into games to score.
''We've got to register a goal and sometimes it doesn't matter how that goal comes, it can be a defleciton or a penalty but getting a goal changes everything.
''We've not had that feeling for a while, we need it and then things can change quickly..
On Tuesday night against Swindon
''Every game is important. We can't control what's happened today but we can control Tuesday.
''So in a sense it's very good that we've got a game Tuesday because that's an opportunity to bounce back.''
