Town midfielder, Max Wright, is currently on a season long youth loan at Evo-Stik League side Scarborough Athletic, and it’s going well for the youngster and for The Seadogs.
Athletic are currently fourth in the Evo-Stik North table and have been boosted by the arrival of Wright and former Mariner, Michael Coulson.
Max has so far played nine games for Scarborough, scoring three goals, and been named as their man of the match on three occasions.
Speaking of Max’s impact at The Flamingo Land Stadium, manager Steve Kittrick said: “Max is greatly supporting the team and causing problems for opposition with his trickery and pace. The supporters love watching him and get excited when he is on the ball.”
Despite their defeat to South Shield in the FA Trophy on Saturday – in front of over 1300 fans, Max is enjoying life at the Yorkshire club.
He said: “It’s excellent. I’m enjoying it. The lads are really nice to me and the gaffer talks to me all the time.”
Watch Max in action and score against Skelmersdale United recently. Michael Coulson was also on the score-sheet - he's already banged in 16 goals this season.
