Boyeson To Officiate Lincolnshire Derby

27 September 2017

EAST Yorkshire official Carl Boyeson will be in charge of the Lincolnshire derby with Lincoln City at Blundell Park on Saturday afternoon.

Mr Boyeson has refereed the Mariners on numerous occasions over his 15 years as an official and will be remembered by Town fans over the years for officiating games that saw the team reduced to nine men on two separate occasions, in a League Cup tie against Doncaster Rovers in 2003 and against Darlington in 2005.

He last took charge of the 1-1 draw with Crawley Town in March, where a Danny Collins equaliser cancelled out a Crawley opener before the experienced Town defender was sent off for a bookable offence late on.

This season has seen him hand out 25 yellow cards and five reds, whilst he handed out 139 yellow cards and 10 reds in 36 games last campaign.

Boyeson will be assisted by Chris Isherwood, Geoffrey Liddle and fourth official Alix Pashley for the fixture.
