BOSS Russell Slade believes that a draw is a fair result after the 0-0 draw in the Lincolnshire derby with Lincoln City on Saturday afternoon, and feels there were plenty of positives for his side.
Speaking after the game he said: ''You've got to analyse it afterwards and I don't think either side deserved to lose to be honest.
''I thought we had the best 20 minutes of the first half, the first 20, and I think they grew into it and were better in the last 15 minutes before half time.
''Then in the second half, I thought we got a bit on top without working the keeper enough.
''Our final ball or execution wasn't great and we din't work the keeper enough, that was the negative side but they've been together a long time and they know what they're doing.
''I thought defensively we were very good, looked organised and both teams looked fairly difficult to break down at times.
On the side's crossing
''Just looking at the end, there's 10 minutes to go and you're looking for that one really good delivery that will play someone in and give us a way of scoring.
''There was one where the keeper's down on the floor and we're trying to get it in the back of the net but it didn't quite happen for us.''
On improvements defensively
''I just think going forward if we can defend like that as a group then we're gonna be difficult to beat and I do feel we have options over the season and choices to go and get goals.
''It is only the second game where we've drawn a blank in terms of not scoring this seaosn so I think that gives us some real positivity to build on.
On the atmosphere
''Everyone's come out for the derby, it's been a lovely day and I hope everyone has a safe journey home as well because that's important but it was a fabulous atmosphere.
''I said to the players at the start of the game that it was a big game today and that's what you want to be a part of, want to embrace and want every week.
''It's fantastic to be a part of that.''
